Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Rob Grieve enters his second season at Arkansas Tech, serving as the women’s basketball assistant coach.
In his first year at Tech, the Golden Suns won the 2018 Great American Conference Tournament Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships. Five Golden Suns earned all-conference honors, and Cheyenne North was named GAC Tournament MVP and to the all-region second team.
Before coming to Arkansas Tech, Grieve spent one year as the video coordinator for Marshall’s women’s basketball team in Huntington, W.V. His duties included film exchange and breakdown, opponent scouting, creating highlights and supervising student managers.
Grieve also spent nine years coaching basketball in Australia, including six years with the Bulleen Boomers Basketball Club. Grieve served various roles with the club, including head coach of both men’s and women’s teams. He led the U14-1 women’s team to two gold medals in the national classic, and we was named Club Coach of the Year three times. In his final season with the basketball club, Grieve coached the U16-1 men’s team to a regular-season championship, final four appearance and silver medal in the national classic.
Grieve graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Laws/International Relations from LaTrobe University in Melbourne, Australia in 2013, where he also received a Diploma in Languages in 2010.
